How To: Make the Perfect Wreath for Every Occasion

There's something about a wreath that just makes a home have that warm fuzzy welcoming feel. It completes the curb appeal....kind of like earrings do for an outfit ;) If any of y'all want to get your craft on, this is a super easy no sewing required wreath that you can do while watching your favorite TV show!

This is the first wreath I've attempted, and I can't wait to make more for all my different occasions! Not only is it a great idea to be patriotic year round (especially when you have a red door that happens to compliment red white and blue oh so well)....but how perfect would a plain burlap wreath be? Wrap some holly berries around it for Christmas or some fall leaves and twigs for Autumn. The possibilities are endless.

What You'll Need:

*3-4 yards of burlap or desired fabric
*Styrofoam wreath frame
*Hot glue gun

(Note: the more flimsy your fabric is, the more you'll fabric you'll need to make it look full. I used a combination of linen and cotton, so I needed a little more than 4 yards of fabric)

1.  Cut two inch wide strips of fabric to wrap around styrofoam wreath. Glue as you wrap.

2. Trace 9inch diameter circles on your fabric and cut them out (I used a cereal bowl)

3. Place a dot of hot glue in the center of cut out fabric circles, and fold in half. Hold until dry.

4. Place another dot of glue in the center of the half circle and fold in half again (making a floret)

5. Glue florets to the wreath frame. Spacing about an inch apart. (You may need to glue them closer together depending on on the texture of the fabric to make it more full)

6. Viola!!! Your very own homemade wreath!

I hope this inspires everyone to get creative and make your home just a little more welcoming than it already is!.....or do a random act of kindness and make one for your neighbor! I hope everyone has a great weekend!!
